Week of May 13-17: Third/Fourth Grade: Reviewing for EOG. Work on Multiplication skills. Review all standards.
Week April 29-May 3: Third Grade: Students will finish up on measurement of weight, capacity, and linear measurement to the nearest 1/4 inch. Students will work on Time this week. Students will be bringing a take home test on Wednesday/Thursday. Homework will cover a review of all standards. Fourth Grade: Friday's take home test is due Tuesday. Students will start metric measurement this week. Homework will cover a review of all standards.
Week April 8-12: assessments-3rd/4th
Week of March 18-22: Third/Fourth Grade: Students will review past unit standards this week. Practicing multiplication skills daily will help increase comprehension in all units.
Week of Jan. 28-Feb.1st: Third Grade: Students will be working on their geometry skills and vocabulary. Area and perimeter. Fourth Grade: Students will be working on Fractions-comparing and equal fractions. Week of Jan 2-4: Third Grade: Students will apply their knowledge of multiplication facts with Division problems. They will continue to work with whole numbers with one digit divisor and one digit quotient. They will use arrays, repeated addition or subtraction, and decomposing a factor. It is important for students to practice their multiplication facts daily. This needs to become an automatic skill. Students will have a test on Jan. 4. Fourth Grade: Students will apply their knowledge of multiplication facts with Division problems. Students will continue to work with whole numbers quotients and remainders with up to three-digit dividends and one-digit divisors. They will use their skills of place value understanding using rectangular arrays, area models, repeated subtraction, partial quotients, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between multiplication and division. It is important for students to practice their multiplication facts daily. This needs to become an automatic skill. Students will have a test on Jan. 4.

Place value, rounding, and 2 step word problems.
Math Vocabulary:
Prime Numbers: a whole number that has only one pair of factors: itself and 1.
Composite Numbers: a number that has more than one pair of factors.
Multiple: the product of a given number and any other whole number (Ex. 0, 4,12, 16 etc... are multiples of four)
Factor Pair: two numbers that are multiplied together to give a product.
Factor of a number: whole numbers that multiply together to get a given number.
